A Breathing Space...

I know, I know... where's the picture? I suppose with such a fickle creature it had to happen sooner or later. My Muse, has packed her valise and decidedly flounced off. (I do not flounce!... looked like a flounce...) She has decided to sulk and gone on holiday without me. Perhaps it was something I said, or did, but in spite of the wonderful pictures of the Mighty Snapper... inspiration comes there none.

It is a little known fact that writers - ok, this writer - every so often must refresh and take in new input to feed his fevered imagination (I am writing this while lying prostrate on a chaise longue, of course). Sometimes I hit a deep vein of inspiration and other times it's just annoying little bits of rock. From past experience I know that if I push on regardless two things will happen. Firstly, I won't do justice to the snaps of the Mighty Snapper, which would not be fair to the pictures. Secondly, I'll end up with a sharp dose of ...Writer's Block (like Athletes Foot only less stinky).

So for this week (a whole week! I imagine you cry) I will be taking a breathing space and let my imagination refresh and take in new ideas and new inspiration... to boldly go....weelll you get the idea. But when inspiration finally returns and the Muse stops sulking (oh alright have my chocolate!) then I too will return and the partnership of the Mighty Snapper and moi will blaze again upon these hallowed pages...

Until then, o reader of small tales... be safe, be well... await Ye Snapper and ye Griffin for we shall come again to you.

Thank you folks... I'd love to thank Madameshawshank aka the Snapper... and the Planet Snodgrass for inspiring me to get this award... and also Jennyflower for tagging me for an award... this award in fact!

How's that? Do you think I should mention the Planet?

I'm looking for all the inspiration I can get and letting all the input I can find simmer in my noggin until a little story shouts out,

'Ooh, ooh, pick me, pick me!'

And then one picture later I will write and see what happens as usual. I think you deserve an award more Jenny, your blog has pictures on it that make me go, oooh, I like those... and how did she... and one day I swear I am going to do that... possibly when I know more!
